PRIVACY STATEMENT

REBELLION SPORT AB (“Rebellion”) has created this privacy statement to demonstrate our commitment to full disclosure of the information collection and use practices of this website and the other websites operated by Rebellion and its affiliated companies (“the Sites”). This privacy statement discloses what information Rebellion collects on its Sites and how it uses that information.

I. Personal Information and Other Data We Collect

• In general, you may visit the Sites without identifying yourself or revealing any personal information. 

• When you visit the Sites, we send one or more “cookies,” a small file containing a string of characters, to your computer’s web browser.  The cookies uniquely identify your browser. We use cookies to improve the quality of our service by storing user preferences and tracking user trends. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies, but you can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some features and services on the Sites may not function properly if your cookies are disabled.

• When you visit the Sites, we also use software that tracks viewing habits.  This software collects the IP address of your computer and clickstream data (information that Site users generate as they move from page to page and click on items) and this data is aggregated with usage data from all Site visitors.

• Some portions of the Sites may require you to give us personally-identifiable information such as your name, e-mail address, physical mailing address, age, password (“Personal Information”).  Additionally, if you communicate with us by e-mail, post messages to any of our chat groups, bulletin boards or forums, or otherwise complete online forms, surveys or contest entries, any information provided in such communications may be collected as “Personal Information.”

• If you elect to provide us Personal Information, we use it primarily to deliver the service you requested.

II. Information Sharing

A. General Information 

Except as otherwise provided in this privacy statement, we will keep your Personal Information private and will not share it with third parties.  However, we reserve the right to release information about visitors, including Personal Information, when release is appropriate to comply with the law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, property or safety of the Sites, the public or Rebellion. 

It is Rebellion’s policy, whenever possible and legally permissible, promptly to notify you upon receipt of a subpoena, and not produce any information until approximately ten (10) days after receipt of the subpoena, so that you will have adequate opportunity to move to quash the subpoena in court.

Notwithstanding the foregoing paragraph, we sometimes provide aggregated usage or tracking information collected from the Sites to third parties. 

B. Information on Children

We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under the age of 13.  On-line registration and usage of the Sites is restricted to individuals over the age of 13. 

C. Third Party and Affiliated Links

Our Sites contain links to external websites including suppliers, advertisers and affiliates. We have no control over, and are not responsible for, the content of, or information gathered by, these other websites. We do not endorse any of these websites or the products or services associated with such websites merely because they are linked to our Sites.  Moreover, these other sites may have privacy policies that are different from Rebellion’s (and which we do not control), and we encourage you to read their privacy policies. 

III. Opt-out Option

Visitors to the Sites can decide whether they want to receive targeted promotional information from Rebellion.  On the visitor registration pages, prospective visitors can choose to request Rebellion not to e-mail them advertising and promotional information.  Should visitors accept promotional email from Rebellion, any email they receive will include instructions on how to be removed from Rebellion's promotional email list.

IV.  Your California Privacy Rights

California’s “Shine the Light” law, Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83, permits our users who are residents of California to request and obtain from us, once per year, free of charge, information about the Personal Information, if any, that we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year.  If applicable, this information includes a listing of the categories of personal information that was shared, and the names and addresses of the third parties with whom we shared the information.

V. Security and Encryption

We take commercially reasonable precautions to protect your information. We use SSL technology on the Sites and a Microsoft ISA server to encrypt Personal Information transmitted between your browser and our server.  As a result, some of the data you submit to our Sites is transmitted securely over the Internet. The data we collect is kept only as long as necessary for the purposes set out above.  After that point, data is kept only for statistical purposes and shall not be used for any other reason.

VI. Data integrity
Rebellion processes personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected and in accordance with this privacy statement. We review our data collection, storage and processing practices to ensure that we only collect, store and process the personal information needed to provide or improve our services. We take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we process is accurate, complete, and current, but we depend on our users to update or correct their personal information whenever necessary.
VII. Accessing and updating personal information
When you use the Sites, we make good faith efforts to provide you with access to your personal information and either to correct this data if it is inaccurate or to delete such data at your request if it is not otherwise required to be retained by law or for legitimate business purposes. We ask individual users to identify themselves and the information requested to be accessed, corrected or removed before processing such requests, and we may decline to process requests that are unreasonably repetitive or systematic, require disproportionate technical effort, jeopardize the privacy of others, or would be extremely impractical (for instance, requests concerning information residing on backup tapes), or for which access is not otherwise required. In any case where we provide information access and correction, we perform this service free of charge, except if doing so would require a disproportionate effort.
VIII. Exceptions

Rebellion may buy or sell various assets.  In the event that we sell some or all of our assets, or our site is acquired by another company, information about our visitors, including Personal Information, may be among the transferred assets.

Whenever you voluntarily make your personal information available for viewing by third parties online – for example in chat rooms or on message boards – Rebellion has no ability or obligation to prevent third-party access to such information and Rebellion undertakes no responsibility to keep such information private.

IX. Notification of Changes

Rebellion reserves the right, at any time and without notice, to add to, change, update or modify this privacy policy, simply by posting such change, update or modification on the Sites.  Any such change, update or modification will be effective immediately upon posting on the Sites.

X. Your Acceptance of these Terms

By using the Sites, you signify your acceptance of the terms of the Rebellion privacy statement.  If you do not agree to the terms of the Rebellion privacy statement, do you are not permitted to use the Sites.
